- Place 2 Tablespoons of loose tea in the filter. Place the filter in an empty cup. Boil water on the side and pour water in the cup and allow your tea to steep for 10-15 minutes. During the steep, the boiling water will cool down enough to drink. After steeping, you may remove the filter and enjoy your tea. Save the filter and used tea, some people will even make a 2nd cup with the herbs already used. Empty the tea and rinse the filter for your next cup of tea.
